Well I’m back from my amazing trip through Japan and its Canada Day, so have a good one today. I am however eager to make a new mix today and I will do my best. I’ve got some killer tracks and have been influenced slightly from my trip. So check back later today or tomorrow for a brand new mix.

So i’ve run off to the far far east for a little R&R. Just letting you know if you were expecting a new mix from me soon. Who knows, I may end up doing a set here, I have most of my music on me, just need the hardware. I’ll def be looking to get into a record shop here and sample the goods. DJ Let Her K - Giving’er June 8, 2008

Well here is the next mix, 40 or so minutes. These are all fairly new tracks with the few exceptions of course. I def took a harder approach, enjoyed mixing this one for sure. I threw in DJ Mehdi for D.Fr3sh but I will use it better next time :). Two tracks stick out for me, “Shingaling” and “Montezuma”; you’ll see why, my favourite tracks of the moment. DJ & Producer at the same time? I think not… June 4, 2008

Well, to emphasize my point. Take my latest mix for example, the bass is heavy and it doesn’t provide the best experience at points in my opinion. Yes, I am my own worst critic but I am an audiophile and a perfectionist as well. I truly believe in quality over quantity, I would take a 5min experimental,crisp,heavy,hard hitting, makes you want to move track over a shitty radio broadcast of the worlds best DJ’s any day.

It’s just the way I am. I like to think that I can truly tell you the difference between a CD and an mp3, but really who can? So this isn’t really a rant, it is more of an insight to my recording sessions, I strive to get the best quality and sound, but, when you do not own or can afford the most professional equipment, it does make a difference.

I do believe I have figured it out though, and my next mix should no longer be titled “Test Mix#” , they will hopefully have a suitable title to justify the theme I was going for. If you have a suggestion or an idea besides buying studio time, flip it my way.

Well, the good news and the bad news.. June 1, 2008

Hello readers and listeners,

Thanks for all the support over the past few months. Have to say its been tough to manage a site all by myself and work full time for a major corporation. Dhuun was and still is a passion project of mine,

New Direction -  I will be making several changes over the next little while to this blog,

1.  I will feature mixes I create and of course offer them for download under my alias ~ “DJ Let Her K”

2.  I will also feature mixes from several DJ friends of mine and yes you will be able to download them as well.

3.  The mission statement will remain the same, it has always been the heart of the site; to share the wealth of music and expand the minds of its listeners

4. Potential ~ Event reviews - volunteers anyone? :). Can’t pay you but you’ll get the satisfaction of getting your word out there.

5. Open to suggestions of course ~ always you can reach me through my email posted under contact.

Definitely having some issues April 21, 2008

Hello all, as you’ve probably noticed there wasn’t a huge update as promised and its because my media server is moving to  new URL. I will try and migrate most of the files but I may have to start looking for a new provider where I can store my samples online. Stay tuned, I’ll figure this out soon enough.
